Powerhouse Physiotherapy - Suzanne Goodall Suzanne Goodall began her career as a Registered Nurse working in the area of anaesthetics and recovery, she soon pursued a career as a Sports injury nurse which led her to completing her Honours’ degree in physiotherapy at Curtin University in Perth in 2002. Early 2003 Suzanne moved to Canberra to work in private practice as a physiotherapist and in February 2005 Powerhouse Physiotherapy was born. Suzanne completed her Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy in 2005 followed by her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in 2006 and was appointed an APA Sports Physiotherapist.

Suzanne works with Hockey Australia looking after both the senior women’s squad the Hockeyroos and junior developments squads. She continues to be the physiotherapist for the National Women’s Hockey team, the Canberra Labour Club Strikers and the ACT women’s under 21’s. Suzanne in particular has a love for Rugby League and has been working closely with these athletes for some years. She is also the physiotherapist to the Canberra Junior Raiders and various first grade clubs as well as athletes involved with the ACT Academy of Sport.

Powerhouse Physiotherapy - Jason Bonacci Jason Bonacci joined Powerhouse Physiotherapy in 2007 after relocating to Canberra to undertake a PhD in physiotherapy at the Australian Institute of Sport. His research is investigating the neuromuscular adaptations to cross-training and its relation to athlete performance and injury. Jason has completed both physiotherapy and exercise science degrees and has a strong background in exercise programming and prescription. He utilises this knowledge to develop sport-specific rehabilitation programmes for athletes returning from injury.

 

Powerhouse Physiotherapy - Sam Ellis Sam Ellis joined the Powerhouse Team as our receptionist in May of 2008. Sam is currently studying Bachelor of Science at University of Canberra and is looking at moving into the area of Agricultural Science. Sam is an ACTAS scholarship holder for women's hockey and has been involved within the National arena.
